About Favicon Generator

Generate a complete set of favicons for your website from a single source image. This tool creates PNG icons in all the sizes browsers, iOS, and Android commonly request: 16×16, 32×32, 48×48, 64×64, 96×96, 128×128, 180×180 (Apple touch icon), 192×192 and 512×512 (Android Chrome), 256×256, and 384×384. A ready-to-paste HTML snippet is also provided so you can install the icons with a simple copy-paste into your site's <head>.

For best results, upload a square image of at least 512×512 pixels with your logo centered and sufficient padding. SVG sources work particularly well because they scale without quality loss. All resizing is done in the browser via the HTML5 canvas with high-quality smoothing — nothing is uploaded to any server.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need so many favicon sizes? +
Different devices request different sizes. Browsers use 16/32/48, iOS uses 180 (apple-touch-icon), Android Chrome uses 192 and 512, and Windows tiles use 270. Providing all sizes ensures sharp icons everywhere.
What should my source image look like? +
Square, centered, with padding around the logo. The icon will be shown very small (16×16), so simple shapes with strong contrast read best. Thin text does not work at small sizes.
Does SVG input give better results? +
Yes. SVG scales to any size without quality loss, producing crisp icons at every resolution. Upload SVG whenever possible.
Are my logo files uploaded anywhere? +
No. The tool renders everything in your browser via canvas — logos stay local.
Do I need an .ico file too? +
Modern browsers accept PNG favicons, so .ico is optional. If you want one for older Internet Explorer or desktop environments, convert the 32×32 PNG with any ico converter.
