About GIF Maker

Combine multiple images into a single animated GIF directly in your browser. Upload two or more JPG, PNG, or WebP files, reorder them with the up and down buttons, pick a frame delay (from 50 ms for snappy animations to 2000 ms for slideshows), and build the GIF. All frames are rendered on the canvas of the first image, with smaller frames centered and white-padded so that the animation has a consistent size.

Perfect for creating social media loops, product showcases, simple tutorials, meme animations, design mockups, or before/after comparisons. The tool is powered by gif.js (MIT license) and runs entirely in your browser using Web Workers for fast encoding. For smaller output files, choose the "Low" quality preset; for smoother gradients and cleaner colors, choose "High". Complex or long animations may take a minute to render — a progress indicator shows the current status.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many frames can I add? +
There is no hard limit, but more frames mean a larger GIF and longer encoding. Most uses benefit from 5–30 frames, which keep the file under 5 MB.
Why is my GIF larger than my source images combined? +
GIF is an older format with limited compression and only 256 colors per frame. It works well for short loops and simple graphics, less well for photo slideshows. For photos, a short MP4 is usually 10× smaller.
Are my images uploaded during GIF creation? +
No. The encoding happens in your browser using gif.js (MIT license) and Web Workers. Nothing is sent to any server.
What image formats can I use as frames? +
JPG, PNG, and WebP. Frames are all resized to the dimensions of the first image, with smaller frames centered and padded with white.
Can I add text or stickers? +
Not with this tool. Prepare each frame in a separate editor first (adding text or overlays), then upload the finished frames here for the loop.
