About Image Crop

Crop an image to any rectangular selection directly in your browser. Upload a JPG, PNG, WebP, or GIF, then draw a rectangle on the image with your mouse or finger. You can drag the rectangle to reposition it or redraw a new one by dragging on an empty area. When you are happy with the selection, click Crop Image to generate and download the cropped version at the original full resolution.

All image processing is performed locally using the HTML5 canvas API — nothing leaves your device, which makes this tool safe for personal photos, business assets, and any confidential visual material. There is no maximum file size and no watermark on the output. Use it to prepare profile pictures, trim product photos for e-commerce, remove unwanted edges from scans, or focus on a specific detail before sharing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I crop to a specific aspect ratio? +
The current version uses free-form cropping. To hit an exact ratio (for example 1:1 for profile pictures), resize the crop rectangle until the numbers match your target.
Does the crop output match the original resolution? +
Yes. The tool computes the real crop region from the displayed image and applies it to the full-resolution source, so you keep every original pixel.
What file formats are supported? +
JPG, PNG, WebP, and GIF on input. Output is PNG if the input was PNG, otherwise JPG — preserving the most appropriate format.
Are my images uploaded to a server? +
No. Cropping is done entirely in the browser using the canvas API — nothing is transmitted anywhere.
Can I use this on my phone? +
Yes. The tool supports touch input. Tap and drag to draw the crop region, then tap Crop Image.
